Sherlock Holmes

I watched this movie with my close senior high school's friends.. :)
Long time no see~~ So happy to see them all.. ^^
That was the first time I tried Pizza Marzano Salmone..

Yummy~~~ =9

And a little bit expression of our narcissistic side.. :P

@ Pizza Marzano, FX Plaza                                                                                                          @ Soho, Senayan City

And finally we watched Sherlock Holmes before the confusing way home >.< (must explore jalan tikus when I can drive a car~)

What can I say about this movie??
Hmmm...
Complicated but impressive...
This one of so many detective character has certainly got my attention..
Maybe it's also because this movie's director and actors...
I'm so amazed with the way those smart people think and act..
The story??
Basically,, it is a simple story plot..

Sherlock with his personal doctor/consultant/partner/soulmate, Dr. John Watson, investigate a killing case which has happened many times by Lord Blackwood. All the citizens think that Blackwood has some kind of powerful "black magic". They think so because the resurrection of Lord Blackwood from his death after three days. Sherlock's love life with Ms. Irene Adler also bring him one step closer with this becoming-famous-killer.

Yup! That's all I can tell to you.. Full stop..
If I continue further,, it will become a big spoiler.. Haha~~
The most interesting part for me is when they identify every evidence they find..
Sherlock ownself applies theory "Learning by Doing",, I can say..
He also plays violin.. ~I ♥ MUSIC~
One of his experiment in this movie is controlling flying direction of flies by violin's sound wave..
Maybe it looks crazy for some people,, but not for me..
I believe music has power inside..
Somebody don't agree with me??
Then answer this..

How come there is such thing like "Music Therapy" in psychology and medical world??
How about the "Mozart Effect"??
How do you explain them??
Take a look at my friend's post: Musical Intelligence

These are another reason why I admire this Mr. Holmes character so much..
  1. Knowledge of Literature — Nothing.
  2. Knowledge of Philosophy — Nothing.
  3. Knowledge of Astronomy — Nothing.
  4. Knowledge of Politics — Feeble.
  5. Knowledge of Botany — Variable. Well up in belladonna, opium and poisonsgardening. generally. Knows nothing of practical
  6. Knowledge of Geology — Practical, but limited. Tells at a glance different soils from each other. After walks, has shown me splashes upon his trousers, and told me by their colour and consistence in what part of London he had received them.
  7. Knowledge of Chemistry — Profound.
  8. Knowledge of Anatomy — Accurate, but unsystematic.
  9. Knowledge of Sensational Literature — Immense. He appears to know every detail of every horror perpetrated in the century.
  10. An expert singlestick player, boxer and swordsman.
  11. Has a good practical knowledge of British law.
  12. Knows Latin and needs no translation of Roman epigrams in the original—though knowledge of the language would be of doubtful direct utility for detective work.
  13. A competent cryptanalyst.
  14. Regarding non-sensational literature, his speech is replete with references to the Bible, Shakespeare, even Goethe.
  15. Wrote a book on the subject, entitled "Practical Handbook of Bee Culture, with Some Observations upon the Segregation of the Queen". (Wikipedia)
As a human,, Sherlock has both of weaknesses and strengths..
But one thing for sure,, he never stop learning things that could be useful for his work..
Wikipedia tells that Sherlock Holmes embraces Bohemian habits and lifestyle..

Bohemianism is the practice of an unconventional lifestyle, often in the company of like-minded people, involving musical, artistic or literary pursuits, with few permanent ties. Bohemians can be wanderers, adventurers, or vagabonds. Bohemians were associated with unorthodox or anti-establishment political or social viewpoints, which were often expressed through free love, frugality, and/or voluntary poverty. (Wikipedia)

Hey,, I also find this in a website..
"The Sherlock Holmes Museum" in Baker Street, London, England..
This is 10 minutes video recording of the museum's tour..

I'm willing to watch this movie again,, maybe in DVD or internet..
But if any of you want to be accompanied at the theater,, the pleasure is mind~~ ;)
